Sport Clips is Proud to Support Our Veterans
Since 2013, Sport Clips has been the primary supporter of the VFW’s Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship program, which provides scholarships for service members and veterans for use at post-secondary schools and trade schools. To date, it has awarded more than 1,400 scholarships totaling $6.5 million.
Local Traverse City Sport Clips owner, Rick Ohle, says:
At Sport Clips, It’s all about the team and it’s all about the community. Our Veterans are an important part of our community and we are eternally grateful to them. Help a Hero provides a way for both our clients and our Sport Clips team to say thank you. And every day of the year, we say thank you by offering a 20% discount to all active duty military and veterans. We are asking for support from the Traverse City community and surrounding areas to help make a positive impact in the lives of those that give so much to all of us.
From October 14 through November 11 (Veterans Day), Sport Clips locations around the country will be collecting funds in-store and 100% of donations will be given to the VFW to ensure it can continue to support the educational goals of our service members and veterans.
Scholarship recipients come from every part of the United States, represent every branch of service and are earning a variety of degrees including engineering, computer science, business, accounting, health care and many more.
